Greek Islands
Leros
Leros is a Dodecanese island whose port town Lakki was built in the 1930s under Italian rule as a naval base and survives as a rare complete town of Italian rationalist architecture. There is no KTEL: a municipal service run by the island's municipality covers a single line end to end, from Xirokampos through Lakki, Platanos, Alinda and Partheni to Blefouti. Buses are small and fares are paid in cash to the driver.
