By accessing and using Greek Island Buses ("GIBS"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

GIBS provides a platform for purchasing bus tickets across Greek islands. We act as an intermediary between passengers and local bus operators.

Please refer to our Refund Policy for detailed information about cancellations and refunds.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.

6. Limitation of Liability

GIBS shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or service changes made by bus operators. Our liability is limited to the ticket purchase price.

7. GDPR Compliance

Greek Island Buses operates in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679. We process personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. We collect only the data necessary to provide our services and do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

8. Data Processing & Legal Basis

We process your data under the following legal bases: (a) contractual necessity — to fulfil your ticket purchase and provide transport services; (b) legitimate interest — to improve our platform and prevent fraud; (c) consent — for marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time; (d) legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements under Greek and EU law.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece. EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence under EU Regulation 1215/2012. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
